POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provide analysis and support of strategic initiatives, providing guidance through the application of Business Process Engineering (BPE), Quality Driven Management (QDM), quality and efficiency reporting and analysis, and analytical techniques for value assessment and sizing for prioritization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design, modernize and ensure appropriate implementation of tools/systems that enable business performance optimization across key operational domains
2. Support optimization efforts as they relate to business processes and asset planning and utilization, performance measurement, goaling, and reporting
3. Lead department and cross functional projects with responsibility for analysis of operational cost areas, coordination of action plans for improvement, and SME role for operations systems development and implementation
4. Create and maintain a digital catalog of FedEx Freight’s business blueprint to enable key stakeholders to efficiently identify opportunities and transform those opportunities into value
5. Apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve business processes and performance
6. Mentor and develop critical skill sets of Engineering & Quality Specialists
7. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
8. Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Transportation or related field or equivalent work experience plus three (3) years’ professional experience in applied engineering concepts and technology
• Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage projects, prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals and respond to day-to-day functional needs 
• Experienced with Microsoft Office software and web-based applications 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
• Ability to anticipate and identify problems and develop effective and efficient solutions

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Must be able to travel
